Baire can recoup losses

Cul Baire, who was a costly failure at Wexford last month, gets the nap to redress the balance in the www.gowranpark.ie Maiden at the Co Kilkenny track this evening.

Jim Bolger’s charge went off a heavily backed favourite on that occasion, but failed to cope with the year younger Aidan O’Brien-trained Lebron.

The pair went toe-to-toe through the final two furlongs, with Lebron just prevailing by a neck. That race was run in very testing conditions and the drier ground now will suit the selection.
