Rose set to be supplemented for Moyglare
Both fillies won Group Two events last time out with Andrew Oliver’s Sendmylovetorose landing the Cherry Hinton at Newmarket and Pat Shanahan’s My Special J’s turning the form around with John Oxx’s Harasiya in the Debutante Stakes at the Curragh.
“She is targeted for the Moyglare. She has to be supplemented, but we intend to do so,” Oliver told At The Races.
“She is in the Cheveley Park as well, that’s her sole engagement, but we intend to go to the Moyglare first and may go there after that.
“Her shocking incident at Ascot helped the rest of the story slot into place. If she hadn’t have come out of the back of the stalls I probably wouldn’t have run her the following week at the Curragh when she won the Grangecon Stakes.
“Had we not been at Ascot we probably would have been lying at the back of the stalls at the Curragh and then we probably wouldn’t have even gone for the Cherry Hinton.
“Everything seemed to happen for a reason, she now wears a hood and has been no problem.”
Shanahan was aiming his youngster at a Group One in France but as she is bouncing out of her skin plans have been rearranged.
“The owners were over last week and we’ve decided to supplement her for the Moyglare,” said Shanahan.
“She’s come out of her last race very well indeed. The original plan was to wait for the Prix Marcel Boussac but she was too well so we brought her back into training.
“There doesn’t look to be an outstanding filly this year and she’s beaten most of those in the entries. I know they think a lot of John Oxx’s filly but we beat her fair and square.
“She’s American-bred so you’d presume that she appreciate better ground than she’s been running on and the forecast is good for next week.
“We’d consider France after the Moyglare but the owners are from Dubai and the aim would be to prepare her for the Guineas out there.”
