Fairyhouse rescheduled for next Tuesday
Course officials made the call following a 3.30pm inspection yesterday.
The seven-card fixture was due to feature the Group Three Brownstown Stakes over seven furlongs.
Fairyhouse general manager Peter Roe said: “We’re gone I’m afraid, it’s absolutely saturated.
“We thought we might have a chance, but it just hasn’t improved.
“We’ve had 173 millimetres of rain since June 1 – which is more than the whole of January, February and March put together.”
The meeting has been rescheduled for next Tuesday when an afternoon meeting will get underway at 2.05pm.
An evening meeting is also scheduled for Tuesday at Roscommon.
