Livia set to strike

Jim Bolger’s Livia Galilei can land the nap in the Irish Stallion Farms’ EBF Fillies Maiden at Cork tonight.

She ran well in two outings as a juvenile and the evidence of her seasonal debut at the Curragh is that the daughter of Galileo has progressed nicely from two to three.

Nibbled at in the market, Livia Galilei finished a creditable fourth of 15 behind the John Oxx pair, Aklan and Ebazan, and Aidan O’Brien’s Marchese Marconi.
