TG4 to screen preview of Punchestown festival
The programme will also be repeated tomorrow at 11am. The preview features visits to the stables of Willie Mullins and Robbie Hennessy and will examine Davy Russell’s quest to win a first jockey’s title as the National Hunt season reaches a climax at the festival.
The magazine-style preview will also have a feature on the history of Punchestown and take a look at the latest fashion trends ahead of the festival.
“The Punchestown Festival is one of the highlights of the Irish sporting and social calendar and TG4 are delighted to provide racing fans with a look ahead to one of the biggest racing occasions of the year,” said Rónán O’Coisdealbha, Head of Sport, TG4.
“This follows on from our very successful Cheltenham festival preview which attracted almost 100,000 viewers last month”
Denis Kirwan will present the programme, with betting information provided by Leon Blanche from Boylesports.
