Come To The Party is the nap choice in the Littleton Handicap Hurdle. He has been a real money-spinner for the yard through the season and it is no surprise his attentions are now turned back to this game, after scoring over fences last time.
At Limerick last month the nine-year-old was very impressive in landing a three mile handicap chase by seven lengths and 16 lengths from Mister First and Sumkindasuprstar.
The form could hardly have worked out any better, with both his victims going on to win subsequently.
As a result of that success, the selection is currently rated 124 as a chaser. He competes here off a mark 22lbs below that and has to get the vote.
Doyle’s ex-winning point-to-pointer Mazuri Cowboy is progressive and well capable of taking the Cashel Maiden Hurdle.
Runner-up behind Firebird Flyer at Tramore, he did even better when half a length second to Changing Times at Fairyhouse.
Again that form has been working out particularly well. Changing Times went on to land a Fairyhouse handicap, by 13 lengths, while the fourth placed, Oconnells Pike, scored at Navan last Sunday.
The mistake-prone Definite Class gets a hopeful nod in the Irish Stallion Farms’ EBF Mares Novice Chase.
She certainly has more than enough ability to provide the answer here, but has been restricted over fences by poor technique, at least on occasions.
She was desperately unlucky on this track two weeks ago when a length and a half second behind Carrigeen Lechuga.
Dessie Hughes’ charge lost much ground when pecking badly at the penultimate obstacle, before rallying strongly in the closing stages. She now meets Carrigeen Lechuga on 5lbs more favourable terms.
