Newbury date for Celestial Halo

CELESTIAL HALO could bid to continue his excellent record in handicaps in the Betfair Hurdle at Newbury on February 11.

The Paul Nicholls-trained eight-year-old has done his connections proud over the past few seasons, winning a Triumph Hurdle and filling the runner-up spot in the 2009 Champion Hurdle.

He may not be the force of old but recorded his third win from as many starts in handicap company with an excellent weight-carrying performance at Newbury on New Year’s Eve.
