Jewel chases Crystal prize

CONNECTIONS of Another Jewel will be seeking another bold show in Friday’s Glenfarclas Cross Country Chase at Cheltenham.

If Denis Murphy’s nine-year-old can finish in the first five he will clinch the Crystal Cup, the prize awarded to the leading cross country performer in Europe, for a second time.

Another Jewel is currently in third place in the 10-race competition which culminates at Cheltenham after events in France, Ireland and Belgium.
