Kranky to be seen in her best light

Tonight's programme at Curraheen Park accommodates the seven races which had to be abandoned last Saturday night and, with the addition of the semi-finals of the Richard Neenan Memorial A3, it’s a high quality program for punters.

Kranky to be seen in her best light

The first round of the Beamish and Murphy's A2 gets underway a week later than intended but Kranky Ma can make up for lost time by taking the first heat. She’s a lady of real potential but it's fair to say that she was disappointing when behind one of these rivals, Twice Gifted, last time out. That wasn’t a true reflection of her ability and, if producing a similar break, she should not be caught this time.

Earlier in the year she was a very smart winner of the Consolation Puppy Oaks at Shelbourne Park and that level of performance stands out in this company. She is confidently expected to banish the memory of her latest defeat. The danger may come from Black Diver, who isn’t short of toe and would be a huge player if breaking on terms.
