PAUL NICHOLLS was delighted to see Kauto Star show plenty of enthusiasm as the veteran chaser enjoyed a spin with stablemates Big Buck’s and Mon Parrain after racing at Exeter yesterday.

The 11-year-old Kauto Star has enjoyed a stellar career, winning the King George VI Chase at Kempton on four consecutive occasions and taking Cheltenham Gold Cup glory twice.

He looked to have lost some of his dash last season, being put firmly in his place by Long Run in the King George and the Gold Cup before being pulled up on his final start of the campaign at Punchestown.
