Nicholls wants whip row resolved

CHAMPION trainer Paul Nicholls has urged racing’s rulers to resolve the whip row.

Speaking in his Betfair column, the Ditcheat handler called for immediate steps to end the controversy over the new rules, and gave his full backing to Ruby Walsh’s appeal over the five-day ban he incurred at Aintree last Saturday.

However, he warned against the possibility of strike action by jockeys.
