Seanie springs Sale shocker
The once-raced Kodiac gelding was giving Marnane his second big-race success this month, having won a second Portland Handicap at Doncaster recently with Nocturnal Affair.
Ridden by Colm O’Donoghue, Seanie did well to overcome a bad draw (eighteen of eighteen), quickening well to beat the fast-finishing Absolute Crackers by a length and a half, with Axamata third and Three Am Tour faring best of Richard Hannon’s trio and the eight British challengers.
