DROPPING back in trip, the John Oxx-trained Dawariya will be strongly fancied to defy top-weight in the features Rosses Point Handicap in Sligo tonight.

Successful twice over nine furlongs, the daughter of Selkirk clearly failed to stay the trip when finishing eighth in the mile-and-a-half Guinness Handicap, won by Clare Glen, at the Galway Festival.

But Dawariya had looked a progressive filly when winning her maiden at Ballinrobe, despite struggling on the tight track, and when landing a Leopardstown handicap off a mark of 83.
