The daughter of Oratorio hasn’t been seen since finishing second behind Claoimh Solais at Naas in the middle of May, a contest which has been working out quite nicely.
Claoimh Solais has developed into a more than useful filly, putting up her best display when fourth to Misty For Me in the Irish 1000 Guineas at the Curragh.
Third in that Naas contest was John Oxx’s Dawariya and she went on to win her next two races.
Biggest danger is the progressive Diamond Daze, who chased home the year older Gonebeyondthemoon at Fairyhouse.
Weld’s Stunning View could provide the answer to the richly endowed Topaz Mile EBF Handicap.
In a wide-open contest, for which wagers should be kept to a minimum, the selection shouldn’t be too far away. The son of Shamardal has been rested since Royal Ascot, where he ran really well when 11th of 28 behind Walter Swinburn’s Julienas in the Hunt Cup, having far from a clear passage.
One of the better contests, on a particularly difficult card, is the Caulfieldindustrial.com EBF Fillies Maiden for juveniles.
There are some promising sorts in this, with the nod falling on Aidan O’Brien’s once-raced Soon, a daughter Galileo.
She didn’t exactly set the world alight on her debut, a well beaten fourth behind Princess Sinead at the Curragh.
But we know that Ballydoyle inmates are capable of dramatic improvement from run to run and that sways one towards Soon.
Dorset Square, who seemed to win with a little bit in hand at Killarney, might be able to shrug off a 6lbs rise in the weights in the Topaz Handicap.
