Vaughan has weight worries for Dance
The Royal Hunt Cup runner-up is one of 77 entries for the valuable handicap and continues to perform with great credit despite rising up the ratings.
Having gone up another 6lb for his Ascot defeat, Vaughan has given him another option in France.
âWeâve made the entry at Goodwood and the plan has been to go for the totesport Mile,â said Vaughan.
âBut weâll look at the race and see whatâs running and how he is nearer the time.
âWe have got another option for him in France and heâs a small horse so I wouldnât be that keen to run him off top-weight at Goodwood.
âHeâs as tough as teak and we keep saying every time that we donât know if he can improve again, but he keeps pulling out a bit more.
âHe goes well fresh and would go straight to Goodwood, there would be no prep race beforehand.
âHeâs had plenty of runs already this season and weâve got him up to a decent level of fitness.
âI let him down slightly after Ascot and he was too fresh so I had to start with him again sooner than I intended. Heâs in terrific form at home.â
Mark Johnston has won the last two renewals with Laa Rayb and Sea Lord but has just two entries this year, Master Of Arts and Tartan Gigha.
Three Royal Ascot winners are entered, Tom Dascombeâs Rhythm Of Light, Brian Meehanâs Manassas and Hughie Morrisonâs Sagramor could all run.
