Teolane 60-40 to run in Albany Stakes
The daughter of first-season sire Teofilo, also trained by Bolger, has won her last two starts impressively, most recently in Listed company at Naas earlier in the week.
Although that was over six furlongs, she has already won over further and in an ideal world Bolger would prefer to step her back up in trip.
“We won’t decide until next week,” Bolger told At The Races.
“She’s had a few quick races and six isn’t ideal for her so we really have to think carefully whether we should be doing that again or not.
“At the moment she’s 60-40 in favour of going.”
Bolger is likely to only have a couple of other runners at the big meeting with Ballysax and Blue Wind Stakes winner Banimpire a possible for the Ribblesdale Stakes.
“Banimpire goes to Cork on Sunday (Noblesse Stakes) and the Ribblesdale is late the following week so we’ll decide after that about her,” he added. “Somasach, the filly that won in Tipperary, is likely to go for either the Queen Mary or the other race (Albany) depending on whether Teolane is going or not.
“If Teolane was not to go, she could go for the Albany.”
