Kauto Star claimed victory in the blue riband in 2007 and 2009, while Denman’s Gold Cup triumph is sandwiched in between.

Imperial Commander is the reigning champion having seen off the Paul Nicholls-trained duo 12 months ago, and he is favourite across the boards to do the double.
