Fleming points Star to Aintree

STARLUCK is still on course for Aintree next month despite suffering a slight injury when surprisingly beaten at Sandown on Saturday.

Trainer Alan Fleming believes the grey will have recovered in a few day’s time and is looking forward to preparing him for the Grade One John Smith Maghull Novices’ Chase over two miles on Grand National day.

A former classy hurdler, Starluck sustained his injury when only third of four to Mamlook on his second start over fences after winning at Huntingdon last month.
