KAUTO Star completed his final jumping exercise in great style yesterday ahead of his bid for a record fifth successive victory in the rearranged William Hill King George VI Chase at Kempton on Saturday.

Clive Smith’s brilliant 11-year-old showed his well-being ahead of his date with destiny as he jumped about 20 fences at trainer Paul Nicholls’ outdoor school.

His stablemate The Nightingale was given a similar workout as the second-season novice steps back up to Grade One company.
