Nicholls has top Peterborough team
Twist Magic had been due to bid for a third victory in the Tingle Creek Chase on Saturday but now has Huntingdon’s feature event as an alternative after Sandown’s abandonment meant that race will be switched to Cheltenham next weekend.
The Nightingale was among the possibles for Sunday’s John Durkan Memorial Chase at Punchestown but with that meeting also falling by the wayside due to the cold snap, he too now has the Peterborough as an option.
Nicholls has also entered Take The Breeze and Breedsbreeze, with the latter set to return from over 660 days on the sidelines.
Evan Williams has entered last year’s winner Deep Purple, Nicky Henderson could be represented by the talented Riverside Theatre, while Tartak and Kalahari King are major contenders for Tom George and Ferdy Murphy respectively.
Other names that catch the eye among the list of 16 are the Nicky Richards-trained Noble Alan, David Pipe’s I’m So Lucky, Donald McCain’s Fiendish Flame and likeable veteran Ollie Magern from the Nigel Twiston-Davies stable.
