Wee Giant one to note
He’s has three runs on the level for Willie Mullins and is clearly no star, but has shown sufficient promise to indicate could have a future at this game.
The selection, a son of Giant’s Causeway, has improved steadily, producing a solid effort on his latest appearance.
At Galway last month, Wee Giant contested a 12 furlongs handicap and looked like delivering early in the straight. But he was run down through the final furlong and beaten three parts of a length into second by Alajan.
Wee Giant does seem to stay really well and what was particularly encouraging about the Galway performance is that the third horse was beaten a further five and a half lengths.
Lets Go Sunshine gets a hopeful nod in the Proctor And Gamble Maiden Hurdle, over a journey just short of three miles.
Indeed, his latest outing was at three miles when runner-up behind Coolavanny Gaffer at Kilbeggan.
Jimmy Lambe’s Auenschutze, a useful enough hurdler, is fancied to make a winning debut over fences in the Kerry Foods EBF Beginners Chase.
The Bumper is a modest affair, but competitive and, perhaps, John Berry’s Whats On The Menu will oblige, having shown what appeared to be improved form at Listowel when third behind Tom Cooper’s heavily-backed favourite, The Shepherd King and Cebuano.
