Harbinger still easy to back

OPPOSITION to Harbinger in the ante-post market for the Juddmonte International at York next month gained further momentum yesterday when Coral pushed the King George hero out to 5-4 favourite from 11-10.

The Michael Stoute trained four-year-old had been as short as evens on Tuesday before Harry Herbert, racing manager for owners Highclere Thoroughbred Racing, warned that the ground must be right on the Knavesmire for Harbinger to take his chance.

The Dansili colt became the highest-rated Flat horse in the thoroughbred world after destroying his rivals at Ascot, and York’s Group One on August 17 is his intended next port of call.
