Duaiseoir looks set to continue Bolger’s good run
He landed a little gamble at Gowran Park last Thursday and the son of Bachelor Duke has every chance of a quick follow up.
You might have thought a mile was on the short side for the selection at Gowran, but he shrugged of such considerations to score by a snug length and a quarter.
Duaiseoir now carries a mandatory 5lbs penalty and is fancied to make light of it, with another half a mile to cover.
The first division of the same contest can go to Dermot Weld’s Teach Nua, especially if the market speaks in his favour.
He’s been off for 211 days, but appears really well handicapped, on his third behind Donnas Palm and Lucky At Last at Navan back in October.
David Wachman’s once-raced Speechmaker gets the nod in the Roscommon Maiden over ten furlongs for colts and geldings.
The Royal Applause colt ran a nice sort of race, in decent company, when ninth to Chabal at Leopardstown in September.
Wachman also has prospects with Leo Gali in the Come Racing In Roscommon Fillies Maiden. Her sixth to Jan Vermeer at Gowran Park was a smart enough effort in the context of this contest.
Another weak affair is the Bumper and the vote here falls on Dessie Hughes’ Frisco Depot, two lengths second to Auspicious Outlook at Punchestown.
