Hurdle drama as Rama is all but ruled out
John Kiely’s seven-year-old returned from a promising run on the Flat last week with pulled muscles and is unlikely to recover in time.
Kiely’s wife Marion said: “It’s very unlikely he’ll run, not unless there is a miraculous recovery.
“He certainly wouldn’t be as ready as he’d need to be for a race like that.
“He got a bump in the race at Leopardstown and pulled some muscles.
“He had some therapy yesterday and today, but he has missed some work.”
King Rama was 7-1 favourite with Boylesports and Betfred.
