EDDIE POWER produced a tremendous performance to guide 7-2 favourite Dorset Square to victory in the ladbrokes.com Maiden Hurdle at Limerick last night.

Dorset Square’s reins broke at an early stage, and his saddle slipped as well, but remarkably Power made light of it and was able to land John Murphy’s four-year-old a seven lengths winner.

Reported Power: “The reins broke after the third hurdle and I had no steering with my left hand.”
