Go for Beauty

DERMOT WELD and Pat Smullen, enjoying a real purple patch, are the combination to have on your side at Naas tonight.

Go for Beauty

The duo team up with the progressive Profound Beauty in the Group 3 Blue Wind Stakes and the daughter of Danehill gets the nap. Lightly raced, Profound Beauty has lots of scope for improvement. After winning a maiden on this track last season, she was then given her chance in the Irish Oaks at the Curragh in mid July. Profound Beauty could only manage a well beaten fifth behind the impressive Peeping Fawn, but testing conditions were all against her.

The four-year-old was then put away, until reappearing in a Listed event at the Curragh last month. The heavy surface was again far from ideal, but the selection ran a cracker to be beaten less than a length and a half into third behind Red Moloney.

Weld’s horses are running out of their skins right now and Profound Beauty can take this on the way to bigger prizes!

Weld’s seasonal debutante, Soaring Emotions is the choice in the Irish Stallion Farms’ EBF Fillies Maiden. Her first two outings as a juvenile were disappointing, but she rounded off the campaign with a creditable third behind Halfway To Heaven and Charlotte Bronte at Leopardstown.

Silver Shoon, doing all her best work at the end of five furlongs when third to Blas Ceoil and subsequent winner Nubar Lady at Navan, could get the Rosewall House bandwagon rolling in the six furlongs Curragh Lawns Nursing Home Fillies Maiden.
