Progressive Rinroe can prove up to the task

THE classy Rinroe gets the nap to land a cracking Diamond Vision Novice Hurdle on an excellent card at Galway this afternoon.

Progressive Rinroe can prove up to the task

Noel Meade’s five-year-old proved his current well being with a smooth start over flights at Sligo earlier in the month.

He handled the very testing conditions in style, cruising to a six lengths success over the moderate The Harrier Man with subsequent winner, Boleybawn Quikstar, behind in fourth.

A lot more is required now, but Rinroe can prove well up to the task. Dancing Tornado, who got off the mark over hurdles at Punchestown, and smart bumper performers in Woodwine Willie, Coolcashin and Glenview Leader, make this a most interesting heat.

The opening maiden hurdle too is chockful of interest, bringing together Meadow Vale, Bootlegger and Whatuthink. Meadow Vale is undoubtedly the form horse, having finished a creditable three parts of a length second to Captain Cee Bee at Punchestown.

He has to prove his ability to handle this surface, however, and preference is for Bootlegger.

He won a bumper at Naas on heavy ground by 12 lengths and rounded off last season with a spin over hurdles at Kilbeggan on ground much too quick for him.

Clopf, Larkwing and Cailin Alainn promise another smashing contest in the www.swordsecurity.com Race.

The nod falls on Cailin Alainn, who is getting plenty of weight from her rivals. She developed into a high-class chaser last season and the ground will hold no fears for her.

Kimberlite King, impressive on his debut at Navan in March, can keep Colm Murphy’s good run going in the Bumper.

At Leopardstown today Great War Eagle, who buckled down when the need was greatest when landing a Listed race at Dundalk, can provide the solution to the Group 3 Killavullan Stakes.
