Ardrath can cheat poor draw
The John Kiely trained runner made it two wins from as many starts when recording a runaway 29.08 success last week, having carded 29.51 on his debut in July.
Ardrath Boy is clearly going the right way and a trap four draw is unlikely to halt his progress in the competition.
Bellers Boy, always in control when carding 29.29 in the opening round, rates the pick of the opposition.
Heathfield Dan stands out in the third semi-final. This improving sort was returning from a nine-weeks lay-off when overcoming traffic problems to card 29.19 last week.
Heathfield Dan has plenty of scope for improvement and should prove a tough nut to crack.
Villiers Dan kept on well to finish a three and a half lengths runner-up behind Heathfield Dan and should again be thereabouts.
Dubar Kewell can also keep his unbeaten record in the stake intact by taking the second semi-final.
The Ann Wade trained dual winner was never headed when carding 29.39 last week and can shrug off an unfavourable trap four draw.
Beanos Rooney, who made significant late headway when chasing home Bellers Boy, rates the likely alternative.
