Charlie team have worries about trip

PRIX MORNY winner Myboycharlie could step up to seven furlongs later in the season in the Darley Dewhurst Stakes at Newmarket.

Tommy Stack’s exciting juvenile maintained his unbeaten record with a smooth two-length success over Prix Robert Papin heroine Natagora in Sunday’s Group One highlight in Deauville.

“We’ll probably look at the Middle Park or the Dewhurst for him and I think seven furlongs shouldn’t be a problem. I hope he’ll get a mile next year,” said Fozzy Stack, son and assistant to Tommy. “He has a lovely action so there is no reason why he shouldn’t go on faster ground.

“He did it well yesterday. He travelled very well and then quickened up quickly as he seems to have done in all his races.

“We were very happy with the performance on the day and Kieren (Fallon) gave him a great ride – it all went to plan,” he told At The Races.

“He went past Natagora very quick and in hindsight probably got there a bit soon and just idled a bit going towards the line.”
