Lee escapes injury as Aces Four crashes out

GRAHAM LEE managed to escape injury after taking a crashing fall from Aces Four at Punchestown yesterday, writes Pat Keane.

Ferdy Murphy’s stable jockey was catapulted from the saddle when his mount came down at the final fence in the Ellier Developments Hanover Quay Champion Novice Chase.

He was taken to Naas Hospital for X-rays on a suspected fracture of his left elbow, but Murphy said last evening: “He has got the all-clear, there is nothing broken. He is hoping to ride Racing Demon tomorrow (in the Guinness Gold Cup), but will have to pass the doctor in the morning before being cleared to ride.”
