Mullins could be mob–handed in National

WILLIE MULLINS could saddle as many as five runners in the John Smith’s Grand National on Saturday after 68 horses stood their ground at the five-day confirmation stage yesterday.

The County Carlow handler has Hedgehunter, Munster National winner Bothar Na, Homer Wells, Livingstonebramble and Joueur D’Estruval in his squad.

Mullins is not against running all five, although it is unlikely ground conditions will suit the whole quintet.
