Head Held High gets the nod
If the green light is given, Jessica Harrington's lightly-raced Head Held High can take the Bank Of Ireland Global Markets Maiden Hurdle.
The six-year-old's latest effort, at Naas last month, was his best to date and he certainly appears to be going the right way.
Head Held High was beaten six lengths into second spot by Black Harry, in a contest which has been working out quite nicely.
Black Harry went on to win by a distance at Fairyhouse and subsequent successes as well for Out In Front (fifth), he's won twice, and Old School (eighth), have obviously been encouraging.
Noel Meade's Charlie Yardbird is the choice in the Bank Of Ireland Business and Retail Banking Hurdle.
Successful in a maiden at Leopardstown at Christmas, he subsequently went under by a length and a half to Albanov at Naas.
Charlie Yardbird seemed to find two miles a trifle on the short side, the Leopardstown contest was two and a quarter, and stepping up to two and a half now should prove ideal.
Powerstation is a big worry, particularly with Ruby Walsh a significant booking. He wasn't too far off the best as a novice last season, but has struggled to hit form so far this campaign.
Michael O'Brien's Mobs Jagger gets the nod to win the moderate NIHF Sean Small Memorial Beginners Chase.
He's no great shakes, but has a better chance than most on his third to Hard To Get Ten at Thurles six days ago.
