Streets to be paved with Gold for McCoy

TONY McCOY returns to his native province at Downpatrick this afternoon with real prospects of at least a treble for main employer, J P McManus.

The British champion is fancied to carry the famous colours to success aboard Streets Of Gold, Care And Share and He's My Man.

Streets Of Gold gets the nap to land the Bet With Downpatrick Tote Maiden Hurdle. The former Ballydoyle inmate has gained plenty of experience and should now be poised to record a first victory over jumps.

He performed solidly at Wexford last time when fourth behind Jaamid in contest which has been working out nicely.

Jaamid took a Naas handicap on Saturday, while the second, Orge D'ete, scored with a lot in hand at Limerick on Monday.

The selection has half a length to find with the third, Good Thing, but can reverse the placings with the maestro in the plate and stepping up two and a half furlongs in trip.

Care And Share is the choice in the opening INH Stallion Owners' EBF Maiden Hurdle. On his latest appearance, he performed well enough when a close fourth to Shuil Oisin at Punchestown.

That was a moderate race, but there was plenty to like about the manner in which Care And Share was staying on at the finish and another three quarters of a mile may be just what's required!
