Querido set to strike

QUERIDO, who caught the eye on his latest two outings over flights, should now be primed to strike and gets the nap to land the Pride Of Tipperary Maiden Hurdle at Tipperary this evening.

Edward O'Grady's charge performed with plenty of promise when fifth to Trefflich at Limerick and his last effort, at Kilbeggan, did little to dispel the notion that a minor event such as this is within the capabilities of the four-year-old.

He raced near the back for much of the journey, before finishing to some effect to take third behind Real Overdrive and Norborne Bandit.
