Make it Monsieur
John Hayden's colt will arrive at Wexford on the back of a career-best effort in the premier Irish classic and has obvious prospects of enjoying a first ever success.
At the Curragh, he finished 11th of 13 behind the hugely impressive Dylan Thomas, beaten around 15 lengths. Rated 79 then, the son of Chester House finished within three parts of a length of Puerto Rico (109) and was two and a half lengths in front of Cougar Bay
(103).
The handicapper didn't get carried away, however, and only moved the selection up 6lbs. That still appears to give Monsieur Henri a definite edge against these rivals and he has to be the choice.
The rapidly improving Ken Condon-trained Khatiman can land the nap in the ITBA (Southeast Region) Bumper. Condon has his horses in really good shape right now and there was a lot to like about the way the four-year-old performed when beaten a length by Medical Debenture at Tipperary last Sunday.
Willie Mullins' Tango Foxtrot should run a big race in the Poolcourt Ltd Handicap over a mile and five. Beaten into fourth in a very close finish behind Cat On The Luas at Fairyhouse, Tango Foxtrot previously showed his liking for this track with a clear-cut success.
Sue Princess, third in a Killarney handicap last week, has plenty in hand at the weights in the Rosslare Claiming Race.
