Laywaan can get off mark at second attempt

ONCE-raced Laywaan can get off the mark at the second time of asking in the Irish Stallion Farms' EBF Maiden at Gowran Park this evening.

The daughter of Fantastic Light made a promising start at Cork earlier in the month and normal improvement should see her oblige.

The selection went to the front half way up the straight, but was run out of it close home and beaten a neck by Uva Fragola.
