Country Song books place in Chesham line-up

DAVID WACHMAN'S Country Song made it two from two with a decent performance in the Irish Stallion Farms' EBF Race at Tipperary last night.

Successful on his debut over the minimum trip here, the son of Fusaichi Pegasus had no trouble making the step up to seven furlong plus.

Country Song and the game Hammers Boy went toe-to-toe through the final furlong, but Kieren Fallon always had a little in hand and the winner scored cosily, despite the verdict being a short head.
