Nashaab set for success

NASHAAB ran a fine race in the Cambridgeshire on his latest start and can gain just reward for that effort at York today.

Nashaab set for success

The five-year-old has been running with great credit all season and his performance in the big Newmarket handicap saw him beaten just six lengths.

That was over nine furlongs but he is equally effective at shorter, as his run at this course at the Ebor meeting, where he was just touched off behind Funfair in a blanket finish over seven furlongs, proved.

And he was definitely unlucky in the valuable William Hill Mile at Goodwood when he was flying at the finish only to be short of room close home, being beaten a whisker in fourth.

He is on a career high mark of 91 at the moment but remains in top form and, with the unseasonably fast ground is in his favour, he can take the Castlegate Rated Stakes.
