The young Irish rider, in his third full season riding in Britain, has gained rave reviews since he first arrived here as an apprentice.

And he showed a shrewd tactical brain to escape from a tough-looking draw in stall 15 of 17 and secure a passage through to the favoured far rail from where he pounced to land the £185,000 Group One contest.
