Tyholland poised to get off the mark

THERE are solid reasons for thinking Tyholland is capable of a first visit to the winner’s enclosure at the end of the Coca Cola Maiden Hurdle at Downpatrick this afternoon.

Robbie Osborne’s five-year-old will be getting all the allowances, including his rider’s 7lbs claim, and should relish this two and three quarter miles.

Certainly, he stayed on with real gusto at the end of two and a half on his latest appearance at Punchestown last month.
