Kirov King fancied for quick follow-up
The colt got off the mark with a smooth display on this track 16 days ago and has to be fancied to go in again.
He travelled sweetly throughout on that occasion, easing a length clear of Corporate Express in the closing stages. The form is useful, with Corporate Express scoring very easily at Tramore next time.
Danzig Bay, a stable companion of Corporate Express, rates the biggest danger, having been a trifle unlucky when half a length second to Balasari at Tramore.
He actually meets his rival on 2lbs more favourable terms than in a handicap, but preference is still for Kirov King.
Weld’s Lowlander is a hopeful choice in the opening Network Northern Ireland Maiden Hurdle.
The four-year-old has gone nowhere near to fulfilling the high hopes which were held for him, after he was bought out of John Oxx’s, but this does look a good opportunity.
The selection cut little ice in the handicap won by Dyrick Daybreak at the Curragh, but did perform a bit better than his final placing might suggest in the conditions hurdle won by Patrizio at Galway prior to that.
Mount George, beaten half a length by Truscott at Sligo last week, gets the nod in the Down District Handicap.
