AIDAN O’BRIEN was yesterday still trying to come to terms with the defeat of One Cool Cat at the Curragh on Saturday, expressing disbelief at the three-year-old's poor performance in only taking fifth place to Red Feather.

The colt looked distinctly unenthusiastic again, never threatening to play a part at the business end of the contest.

“I didn’t think it would happen again”, exclaimed O’Brien, a reference to One Cool Cat’s dreadful effort earlier in the season in the English 2000 Guineas at Newmarket.
