Hannon waits to make the right move
The Dr Fong colt was a close-up sixth in the Craven Stakes on his seasonal bow and Richard Hughes has been provisionally booked for the Newmarket Classic.
However, Hannon could reroute Forward Move, who is owned by the Queen, to the Dee Stakes at Chester next week.
He said: “He worked really well on Monday morning but I would like to leave it until later in the week and see how the race is shaping up.
“If we don’t run in the Guineas we could go to Chester for the Dee Stakes.
“He’s a very good horse. When he ran in the Craven they said that he was outclassed but I promise you, he’s pretty good.”
Hannon also has recent Doncaster winner Solent in the race but he is more likely to tackle the Listed McKeever St Lawrence Newmarket Stakes later on the same card.
“I’m not sure but he’s in over a mile and a quarter on the same day and is probably more likely to run there,” added Hannon.
Meanwhile Jeremy Noseda is to step Proclamation up to Group Two level for next month’s totesport Dante Stakes at York.
The King’s Best colt went down as a possible Vodafone Derby contender when he scored by three and a half lengths on his only juvenile start in a mile maiden at Newmarket last October.
Noseda’s charge, a 33-1 chance with Ladbrokes for Epsom’s blue riband, is being tuned up for the May 12 contest over a mile and a quarter on the Knavesmire.
