Ferryforth Donie tops sale at €13,000

FERRYFORTH Donie, owned by Liam Egan of Freemount Charleville, Co. Cork, who carded 28.65 when winning his pre-sale trial realised the top price of €13,000 when he was knocked down to a cash buyer at the Curraheen Park sales yesterday.

The next best price was €3,200, which an English buyer John Edwards handed over for David and Michael Power’s (Butlerstown, Waterford) Honey Silver who had on his trial in 29.17.

Another greyhound which broke the 29.00 barrier in her trial was Mrs Helen Fleming’s (Bweeng) Cleena Way who was knocked down to English buyer Gerard Baker, who was very active yesterday, for €3,000.
