Carlesimo set to complete hat-trick

THE progresssive Carlesimo can complete a hat-trick in the Guinness Novice Chase at the final stage of the Listowel Festival this afternoon.

Noel Meade’s charge was brought down at Galway on his first excursion over fences, but made no mistake on two occasions subsequently.

He beat Cash And Carry (gave 10lbs) by four lengths at Ballinrobe and a literal interpretation of that form would indicate Cash And Carry should reverse the placings at these weights.
