Progressive Fey Macha looks good for starters

KILBEGGAN houses a decent sort of programme this evening and, with five conditions races, punters have every reason to feel optimistic!

Progressive Fey Macha looks good for starters

Fey Macha gets the nap to beat Gli Gli in the opening Pat Doyle Memorial Mares Novice Hurdle.

Paul Roche’s charge is very much on the upgrade, having run two solid races at Cork of late.

She beat the enigmatic Good Vintage in a canter, before finding Heart Midoltian too good next time. Both of her victims are trained by Noel Meade, so he will know exactly what is required with Gli Gli.

She too is on an upward curve and there was plenty to like about the way she dismissed Ikdam Melody at Bellewstown.

The ground, however, is likely to ride very fast and Fey Macha, a daughter of Phardante, has shown in the past she revels in such conditions.

The aforementioned Ikdam Melody cannot be opposed in the Midland Breeders’ Supporting Kilbeggan Maiden Hurdle.

Since chasing home Gli Gli at Bellewstown, Ikdam Melody has since finished runner-up behind Tom Hogan’s subsequent Galway success-story, Native Sparkle, at Killarney and that puts the selection in a different league to this opposition.

Bar a fall Kevin O’Brien’s Putsometnby can land the Hackett’s Bookmakers Beginners ’Chase.

He’s another who handles a fast surface and a repeat of his creditable second to Lord Of The Turf at Galway will see him land this.

Link Hill, narrowly beaten by Dariole at Tramore on Saturday, can go one better in the Ireland’s Own Centenary Year Handicap Hurdle.
