Daryl scorches home

TYRUR DARYL, owned by PJ Fahy in Co Galway, was fastest of the first six heats of the Kerry Agribusiness Irish St Leger at Limerick last night.

Drawn in trap four in heat five, he was away smartly and, having led into the first bend, went clear for a six-lengths victory in 29.63.

Only two favourites won - the other being Priceless Mail in the last heat in 30.04.
