Star Storm should get back on winning trail

STAR STORM can get back on the winning trail in the competitive 25,000 Powers Ulster National Handicap Chase, over three and a half miles at Downpatrick this afternoon.

The Francis Flood trained nine-year-old ruined his chance of following up on his previous Tramore win when trying to go through the last two fence at the Waterford venue. However, he still managed to finish third, beaten eight a half lengths by Connemara Mist and Clawick Connection.

No Problem hasn’t won since March 2000 but has shown consistent form prior to pulling up in the Thyestes Chase at Gowran and a bigger danger to the selection could be Francoskid, who has won two of his last three races, at Down Royal and Musselborough..
