High Chaparral back on course

DUAL Derby and Breeders’ Cup classic winner High Chaparral is back on track, following a workout at the Curragh after racing yesterday.

Kept in training as a four-year-old, High Chaparral has yet to run this season, having been on the easy list with a bruised shoulder.

He did a light canter, under Michael Kinane, over a mile with a lead horse.

Said trainer Aidan O’Brien: “I hope now that I will be able to train him after today and, hopefully, he will run in a little race in three to four weeks.”
