The champion jockey has enjoyed a break in Dubai since injuring a shoulder in a fall at Kempton last month. He rides the once-raced Penny Pictures for his boss Martin Pipe in the opening Croxton Juvenile Maiden Hurdle and he is expected to step up on his third in a maiden at Kempton, where he raced very freely but still only went down by three lengths to Spectroscope and Navale.
Fiori stayed on well at Wetherby to be second after a break and he should have come on enough for that to be a major player in the Wrexham & North Wales LVA Novices’ Chase.
